Every week I go to the swimming club

Every week I go to the swimming club. One evening I came back and went into my room to dry my hair. I took off my socks and shoes and saw that I had four warts on my feet. I went into the kitchen to tell my parents. My father, who is not a student of Christian Science, said I would have to go to see a doctor. The doctor called the warts verrucae and said I would have to go to the hospital to have them removed, and it would be six weeks before he could get me an appointment.

I have always attended a Christian Science Sunday School, where I learn about God and His healing power, and on the way home my mother asked me if I would like to have Christian Science treatment. I said yes, and we phoned a practitioner, who said she would help me. I got out the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and copied this passage from Science and Health onto a piece of paper (p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I put the paper in the pocket of my school dress and kept reading it and memorized it. I knew I was really God's perfect child, made in His image, and could reflect only good.

Before two weeks had passed, two of the warts had dropped off, and a week later all four had disappeared. There was new skin on my feet. The following Wednesday I gave a testimony at the branch church testimony meeting to show how grateful I was to God.
