God's outpouring love

One day I was standing near the crest of Horseshoe Fall in Niagara Falls, Canada. I was watching in awe the rushing water pouring over the edge. As this powerful surge of water hit the river below, it bounced back in a magnificent spray and gently touched a rainbow nestled within the horseshoe.

At that moment I felt closer to God than I had ever felt before. I caught a glimpse of the glory and magnificence of God's power that so tenderly heals. It reminded me of this verse from the Bible: "Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all." I Chron. 29:11;

In our search for healing, if we gain a greater understanding of what God, Life, is, our health is restored—we gain freedom and dominion. Christ Jesus taught his disciples what God is, and we too can learn. As we study the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we find answers to questions about what God is and what He is always doing for His children. We learn that God never withholds good from us. Good is always present in abundance, but we need to understand the great heritage that God has already given us. In truth, we aren't reaching toward the point of perfection, hoping that we might someday be the beloved children of God. We are already there, loved and cherished by our Father.
