Christian Science has become a way of life for me

Christian Science has become a way of life for me. It has greatly increased my understanding of God and my own individual expression of Godlike qualities.

I have been in Science only a short time, but in that time I have had many instances of realizing God's presence, protection, and guidance with me wherever I am. Two summers ago I served as a juvenile counselor in an institution that was a long distance from my hometown. This involved much traveling and acknowledgment that God directed my way. There were many testing times at this juvenile institution. Here it was vital to see the perfect idea of God and to reject and replace the thought of a delinquent juvenile. I was able to be calm and authoritative in crisis situations, knowing God, Love, is always present and meeting all my needs.

Through growing in this Science of Christ, I have a much magnified awareness of beauty. The qualities of Soul are expressed all around us. I have become interested in art, music, and theater, seeing the good as man's individual expression of God. I have become aware of my own identity also as the unique illustration of Soul. This statement from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy explains this concept of true identity (p. 477): "Identity is the reflection of Spirit, the reflection in multifarious forms of the living Principle, Love."
