Full of gratitude, I would like to tell of three healings, which prove that God is all-powerful, loving, and good. Once when I was visiting at a farm, the children were playing with me in the hayloft. While doing so, I fell through an opening in the floor onto the concrete floor of the room below. I landed rather hard on my back, biting my tongue severely.

My first thought was, "God is with me, and in His love I am always safe." With that I went back to the other children. From then on I was more cautious, and spent the noontime with the good thought, "God is surrounding me with love." When I got home, I told my parents everything. My back hurt and my tongue had swollen up so thick that I couldn't eat anything. I knew that God had created man as a perfect child, in His image, and that I could not have experienced the accident at all. God, good, leads, protects, and governs me. As I thought about this, all my fear vanished. The following day I could eat again, and in a couple of days my back and my tongue were healed.

Another time I was healed of warts, which I had on my hand. As often as I could I did some reading in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. One time I opened to the place on page 353: "All must admit that Christ is 'the way, the truth, and the life,' and that omnipotent Truth certainly does destroy error." This sounded so convincing that I thought about it for a long time. Of course the warts were only a false picture. Two weeks later, when I happened to glance at my hand, I saw with joy that it was without any warts at all.
