Make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it (Hab. 2:2)

"Tables" is the word used also of the stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. The prophet is instructed to write his vision upon planks of wood or stone, so large and clear that anyone running past could read it at a glance.

Thy word is very pure (Ps. 119:140)
