I owe the happiness and harmony of my life to the study of Christian Science. My gratitude includes thankfulness for having been brought up in a home where Christian Science was lived and for having attended a Christian Science Sunday School. My husband is a devoted student of Christian Science, and our three children love its teachings.

"There is no power apart from God. Omnipotence has all-power, and to acknowledge any other power is to dishonor God." This statement from page 228 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy has been foremost in my thought for many months, and I have endeavored to make it the basis of my thought and action. The results of this thinking have been more harmonious relations with family and friends, perfect health, and many opportunities to rely upon God's power in classroom teaching.

I am especially happy to acknowledge three experiences of painless childbirth. In the first instance, the child was born at the naval hospital on the base where my husband was stationed. I returned with the baby for a six-week checkup to comply with Navy regulations and record keeping. While looking at my folder, the pediatrician remarked that he had heard about the birth. He stated he had not known Christian Scientists did not follow the same routine as other women. How grateful I was that I had taken my stand as a Scientist, had not been required to take any medicines, and had had a marvelous, quick, natural birth! I was delighted, too, with the acknowledgment of the efficacy of the divine method.
