My father and I were riding down the highway one afternoon...

My father and I were riding down the highway one afternoon when suddenly a wheel came off our truck, causing us to swerve to the opposite lane of traffic and run head-on into an oncoming car. I was thrown out, but the truck tipped over, pinning me underneath, and then burst into flames moments after I was freed by those who had come to help.

As my family relied completely on God, divine Love, for any and all assistance, we knew He could cause no accident such as this. The doctor reported to my parents that I would probably not live through the night. However, a Christian Science practitioner was called, and through prayerful work the most difficult barrier to my survival was overcome.

X rays showed that I had multiple bone fractures and other extensive physical damage. It was said that if I did live, I would have to remain in the hospital at least six months. The doctor wanted to have me moved to another hospital, but my parents said it would not be necessary.
