RADIO PROGRAM NO. 424 - When Youth Confronts Grief

Pead: I know from personal experience what the loss of a parent, someone you are very close to, can mean to a student. I lost my father last summer, and it is a traumatic experience. You feel a loss of affection and security. It affects your whole outlook on the future, even on life itself.

Selover: Let me ask both of you this question: Have you found that an experience of this kind leaves you where it found you?

Harmon: Well, in my case it did not. It definitely made a vast difference in my life and the way I looked at life.
