Christian Science versus Lawlessness

Lawlessness seems to be on a rampage, and this alarms the law-abiding citizens of the world. To cope with the situation, people need to understand what law is and how to protect the true sense of it. One definition of law is, "A rule prescribed by authority for human action." Another is, "The will of God, whether expressed in Scripture, implanted in instinct, or deduced by reason."

When God's will for good permeates human rules for action, harmony prevails. When human will rebels against and flouts right civil laws, we have chaos on our hands. Progress in peace and order comes to the world in the measure that citizens adopt and obey legislation that accords with the mercy and justice of the divine order. Then the great purpose of law is worked out: to unify right action and thus maintain harmony in obedience to God.

When Mary Baker Eddy discovered Christian Science, she brought to light the eternal law of Love that Christ Jesus had perfectly demonstrated. She revealed Science as the uninterrupted force of good, the force that has dominion over everything that opposes the divine will.
