How to Assimilate the Truth

Mrs. Eddy writes of the Bible, "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life." Science and Health, p. 497; She states of Science and Health: "Although this volume contains the complete Science of Mind-healing, never believe that you can absorb the whole meaning of the Science by a simple perusal of this book. The book needs to be studied, and the demonstration of the rules of scientific healing will plant you firmly on the spiritual groundwork of Christian Science." p. 147;

Students who ponder these statements soon perceive that the purpose of every truth set forth in these great books is to point out the way to healing and regeneration in individual experience. These statements and the rebuke of the Master, Christ Jesus, "Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God," Matt. 22:29; remain the clarion call to a truly diligent effort to become informed of truths that will correct, uplift, and feed.

Through inspired study we comprehend God as the tender, loving guardian and guide for our every forward step, the constant companion and protector, who always and in all ways compassionately anticipates our every need, comforts us in every care. As God's ever-presence and unchanging love are revealed through study and proved in experience, we know we cannot want for any needful thing. We find rest in the confident expectation of His abundant good, the fullness of His provision, the completeness of His care.
