Eliminating Mistakes

Christian Science provides mankind with a practical means of eliminating falsity or error from human experience and furnishes proof of the unreality of all evil. It reveals God as the source of universal harmony and bids mankind devote themselves to spiritual development through the active expression of God, or good. This prevents their being lulled into mental inactivity by the false supposition that their understanding of Truth is too meager to be effective.

Christ Jesus taught his followers that the need of every individual is to forsake evil and to express God's goodness. He showed that the claim of error originates in mortal thinking and that healing comes to the spiritually active consciousness, the consciousness which fervently and humbly reaches out to God in acceptance of spiritual harmony.

Frequently one who desires to demonstrate the truth which Jesus taught is confronted by suggestions of failure or retarded progress. Indeed, evil would have one believe that man is a mortal, laboriously proceeding by trial and error through darkness and disappointment on a path leading to eventual doom. Christian Science awakens one to the unreality of such suggestions. It reveals the unerring operation of the divine Mind and man's God-bestowed dominion.
