College Organizations

Christian Science organizations at colleges and universities throughout the world are an influence for good in the academic community and a source of comfort am! strength to those who attend the meetings.

Students and faculty who are members of The Mother Church have the privilege of forming and conducting these organizations in accordance with Article XXIII, Section 8, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.

The principal activities of college organizations consist of conducting weekly testimony meetings, sponsoring at least one lecture each year, holding receptions for newcomers at the start of a term, planning film showing-, participating in campus interreligious programs, planning exhibits and book displays, distributing literature, maintaining lending libraries and study rooms. Most important, countless organization members have resolved to improve their daily practice of the Christ, Truth, thereby fulfilling the Master's saying (Matt. 7:20), "By their fruits ye shall know them."
