Stuart Goes with God

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Stuart loved to go to the beach. Each summer he looked forward to visiting his friends who were staying there. But to get to the beach, he and his family had to drive over a steep and winding mountain road. Stuart began to be afraid of this road because on each trip his stomach ached, and he felt ill. Sometimes his mother and father would have to stop the car to let him out until he felt better.

One summer Stuart and his family were again invited for a day at the beach. This time his mother told him that there was no need to be afraid or sick on the way over the mountain.

Since he was a pupil in the Christian Science Sunday School, he knew that his mother was reminding him that he was God's child when she told him not to be afraid, he knew that God is all-powerful and that He is with His children all the time, that no sickness comes from God, because He is all-good. He knew that sickness is a lie which he did not have to believe and that if he didn't believe it, he couldn't experience it, for without a believer a lie cannot operate.
