When a young girl, I contracted...

When a young girl, I contracted malaria early one spring and was unable to finish the school term. Throughout the balance of the spring and summer, loving members of the family tried to clear up the difficulty by medical means, sun, and fresh air, but these were of no avail.

My mother had passed on a few years previously, and arrangements were made for me to live in a distant city with an aunt who was a Christian Scientist; and I shall always be grateful that she enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School. There I learned that God is Love, our real Father-Mother, and that He is always with us wherever we are. I became a happier child, and the trouble was completely cleared up in a short time.

It would be impossible to enumerate here all the healings and blessings that have been mine in the intervening years. They include protection from accidents and the healing of torn ligaments, a cut eyeball, a sprained ankle, burns, colds, and nervous exhaustion; and, in the case of my three children, healings of burns, sore eyes, cuts, diphtheria, and socalled children's diseases.
