In the Bible we read, "Bring ye...

In the Bible we read, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it" (Mal. 3:10). And part of Mrs. Eddy's definition of the word "tithe," found on page 595 of Science and Health, reads, "Contribution; tenth part; homage; gratitude." In submitting this testimony I am contributing my humble tithe of gratitude.

In the summer of 1918 my only sister, then a baby, was healed of summer complaint. A Christian Scientist who was informed of the illness and of the medical verdict that no more could be done for the baby called on my mother and offered help through prayer, which was gratefully accepted. Within three days the healing was complete. As a result of it our family became students of Science, and in the intervening years God has been my only physician, and all my needs have been met through the application of this religion.

Space would not permit a detailed account of the numerous physical, financial, and relationship problems which have been solved in Christian Science; but I should like to mention the healing of a broken arm after one visit to a practitioner's office. While the arm was restored to normaley at that time, there remained a formation of calluslike substance over the elbow joint. Later, it was with much gratitude that I realized the callus had completely dissolved.
