On pages 115 and 116 of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy gives the "Scientific Translation of Mortal Mind" which was a great help to me one time when eczema broke out on my hands. Although it was difficult for me to use them and they were very uncomfortable, I was grateful to know that they could be healed in Christian Science.

Turning prayerfully to Science and Health, I found the pages mentioned above, and I realized that fear, self-justification, pride, and the other unreal qualities listed there by Mrs. Eddy form no part of man, who is actually the expression of God, Spirit. Man can be governed only by spiritual qualities, such as love, wisdom, health, and holiness, not by depraved qualities.

I also studied "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468); so I knew that as the truths it contains became part of my consciousness, healing would result. I began to see more clearly that "all is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." Within three days the eczema had disappeared, and my hands were normal.
