I should like to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science, which has sustained me in every way for many years. It saved my life and the life of my baby at the time of his birth. The doctor said that both the baby and I were beyond human help, and the head nurse told my husband that we had passed on.

My husband and I had proved the power of Christian Science on so many occasions that he immediately called the practitioner who had been prayerfully supporting me. When she answered the telephone, she declared, "God is Life." These words were all that my husband thought of. In two hours the baby and I were brought down to our room, and the doctor said a miracle had taken place. As I was regaining consciousness the words of the Master, Christ Jesus, came to me and sustained me, "Lo, I am with you alway" (Matt. 28:20).

My husband and I were always very grateful for the courage and faith of the practitioner at this time. After the experience we became much more faithful in our study and application of Science; so passing through "the valley of the shadow of death" (Ps. 215:4) turned us to a true view of Life.
