Many years ago my mother was healed in Christian Science after she had been told she must have two operations, one for appendicitis and one for a sciatic difficulty. She attended a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a branch church with a friend and slept that night in a bed, something she had not been able to do for many months. In the morning she went to the medicine chest and threw the contents away. She obtained all the writings of Mrs. Eddy and read them for three or four hours a day. She was completely healed of both conditions in less that three months. I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School and had the privilege of attending it for many years.

One day when my mother and I were driving with some people, the car turned over so completely that the wheels were left spinning around in the air. As we were turning, the thought came to me that "underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deut. 33:27). No one in the care was injured; it was righted and driven home. This was proof to me of the divine protection which is ever available to us.

I am grateful for a healing which took place about three years ago after a rash developed on my body. I had always had quick healings before, but this one was slow in coming. However, through it I learned to have more patience, love, and humility. I am very grateful to the practitioners who stood by me at different times during the three months before the healing was complete.
