I learned of Christian Science about thirty years ago, and because it teaches spiritual healing as it was practiced by Christ Jesus, I accepted it at once.

I experienced my first healing through Science soon after I had begun to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. At that time I was suffering from a nervous breakdown. I memorized "the scientific statement of being" (p. 468), and I repeated it constantly when out walking. It assures us that "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness." The result was that I was healed in a short time. This proved to me that even a slight understanding of Christian Science heals.

This Science was very helpful to me during World War II. My constant prayers during air raids and at other times of danger were Psalm 91 and the promise contained in Psalm 50 which reads (verse 15), "Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."
