The Psalmist writes (Ps. 107:8), "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" I am offering this testimony, therefore, in praise of the Lord. Through my understanding of Christian Science and the earnest prayers of a faithful and consecrated practitioner of Christian Science, it has been proved in my experience that God is our great Physician.

In August, 1958, I had a severe fall late one evening. A practitioner was called at once. I had a very restless night, but by morning the pain was gone. I believed that it was just a sprained ankle and that I would soon be walking again; but days passed into weeks, and still I could not put my weight on the foot.

After a month two X rays were taken which showed a fractured ankle that had already set and healed. However, the doctor said I would never be able to walk till surgery was performed on bones just above the ankle. Christian Science treatments were continued with greater effort and study on my part to gain a better understanding of God and the real, spiritual man.
