The Infinitude of God's Ideas

Christian Science affirms that each idea of God is complete. It is imbued with the glory of God, is beautified and blessed with the qualities of God, which are requisite to its perfect spiritual individuality. Goodness characterizes each idea which God creates. Goodness applies to its complete nature.

Ideas of God are infinite in number, more than could ever be counted by men. The universe of God is filled with His ideas. We are somewhat aware of many of God's ideas. But we can, by increased spirituality, become conscious of more of the ideas which God has made. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 264), "As mortals gain more correct views of God and man, multitudinous objects of creation, which before were invisible, will become visible."

When the Israelites cried out for food and water, Moses proved the presence of the sustaining power of God, for manna came from the skies and water gushed forth from the rock as a result of his prayer of spiritual understanding. When the servant of Elisha cried out to him, fearing for their safety because of the enemy, Elisha said (II Kings 6:17), "Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see." And the account continues, "Behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha."
