I have been increasingly blessed through my study of Christian Science. What may at times have seemed almost insurmountable situations have been overcome, and the dark clouds of sense have dispersed as I have turned with absolute trust to divine Principle, God, for my answers.

I should like to tell of one physical healing. I had been particularly free from the necessity of seeking help from a practitioner. However, one day I awoke with the symptoms of a cold. I did not pay much attention to it. I just tried to know the truth of God's man and to realize that his security cannot be invaded by mortal beliefs, and I then went about my work. But the condition worsened as the days went on, and I finally took to my bed. I felt very miserable. It was then that these words from our textbook. Science and Health, came to thought (p. 420): "If students do not readily heal themselves, they should early call an experienced Christian Scientist to aid them."

At my request, a member of the family telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help, which was immediately given. She emphasized the fact that error cannot cling to one unless that one provides a place in his thinking for it to cling to. It took over a week for the healing to be completed, since there were many ungodlike thoughts to be eradicated from my thinking.
