It has been over thirty-five years since Christian Science came into my experience. This truth has been the answer to a great desire for a clearer understanding of God's law and of man's relationship to God. Through relying on this Science and applying its truths, we have had numerous healings in our family. These include so-called children's diseases, such as scarlet fever, measles, mumps, whooping cough. Pneumonia, diphtheria, and rectum trouble have also been quickly overcome. Supply and harmonious human relationships have been manifested.

I should like to share with others two healings of the results of accidents I have experienced. I was healed of a severely sprained ankle in less than an hour simply by expecting an instantaneous healing, because I knew that God's creation has never been less than perfect. At another time, while shopping, my foot was severely crushed by a heavy swinging door in a large department store. My son, who was with me at the time, went for the car and took me home. Assisted by my husband, I was soon in the house and on the bed.

It was recommended that I have the foot put in a cast or at least put it in hot water. I suddenly realized that for the first time in years fear was present in the thoughts of my loved ones, and I must do something about it right then. I looked at them, laughed, and said, "I'm a Christian Scientist, remember." With this remark the mesmerism was broken.
