TRUTH UNCOVERS AND DESTROYS LATENT ERRORS

Mary Baker Eddy states in her book "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 252): "Christian Science classifies thought thus: Right thoughts are reality and power; wrong thoughts are unreality and powerless, possessing the nature of dreams. Good thoughts are potent; evil thoughts are impotent, and they should appear thus. Continuing this category, we learn that sick thoughts are unreality and weakness; while healthy thoughts are reality and strength."

One may ask, "Why all this concern over thoughts?" The student of Christian Science soon learns that all disease is mental, stemming from a false, mortal mind belief in a power apart from God, good. Erroneous mental pictures manifest themselves in a sickly body or discordant human experiences.

How important, then, to have healthy thoughts and beliefs, loving thoughts, thoughts filled with a firm conviction that God, divine Mind, is the only power and that He has created man in His own image and likeness; therefore man reflects the qualities of this one Mind. Thought imbued with this spiritual truth soars above false beliefs and brings good into human experience.
