Christian Science came to me when I was a child. I was stricken with a bowel disorder, and my mother began studying this religion because the family doctor expressed doubt that I would live very long and was uncertain as to the cause of the ailment.

After my enrollment in a Christian Science Sunday School, the condition was completely healed. While attending Sunday School up to the age of twenty, I had many healings, many blessings. For a time after I left Sunday School, however, I drifted away from Science, and it became evident that progress was no longer being made.

A few years ago I was in possession of much material wealth, but within a very short time I found myself hopelessly in debt, which caused me great mental anguish. In addition, a division in family relationships made me feel very much alone.
