Church Building

Church building is an expression of expansive, confident, and true thinking according to the ever-operating law of God. When Christian Scientists have faced their church needs and recognized that there is always a way in which to meet them, the results have been inspiring and reassuring. In the Bible (II Cor. 8:11) we read, "Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have." The following experiences of branches of The Mother Church are illustrations of what can be done when there is a "readiness to will."

A church in California writes:

"It is with great joy that we report steady progress in our church building program. During the past year we have completed the Sunday School wing, which included a room for children of pre-Sunday School age, and have changed the hour of the Sunday School to coincide with that of our church service in the morning. Our flagstone patio has been laid, and our surrounding grounds have been landscaped and planted. Our foyer and board room are nearly finished, and with the furnishing of these two units our church edifice will be complete.
