SAFE FROM THE STORM

[Of Special Interest to Children]

"Honey bun" is a pretty green, yellow, and black parakeet. He belongs in the home where Lorraine and her sister Holly live. Honey Bun whistles, and sometimes he chatters and says, "Hello, Honey Bun." When let out of his cage, he loves to fly around the house and land on someone's head or shoulders. He makes everyone laugh with his clownish antics.

One day Grandma discovered that Honey Bun was not around. She made a search all through the house, but she did not find him. As soon as Lorraine heard that Honey Bun could not be found, she instantly said: "He is not lost. God takes care of all His ideas, even parakeets. God wouldn't let him be lost or harmed."

Lorraine and Holly go to the Christian Science Sunday School, and all the members of the household go to the Church of Christ, Scientist. When they heard Lorraine's positive statement of God's protection, the entire family turned to divine Love, which casts out fear. A favorite Bible passage with this family is one that reads (I John 4:18), "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear."
