It is a privilege to bear grateful...

It is a privilege to bear grateful testimony to the healing power of Christian Science. Several years ago I had an outstanding proof of this power. I awakened one morning with a slight pain in my back, and as the day progressed, the pain increased. By evening I could not even bend to open the oven door. My sister read to me the eleventh chapter of Hebrews, which was very helpful in making my thought receptive to good. Later, I read a statement from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy that uncovered the error in my thinking.

As I read it I remembered what Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 355), "Error found out is two-thirds destroyed, and the last third pierces itself, for the remainder only stimulates and gives scope to higher demonstration." I knew I was healed, though the pain did not cease at that moment.

The next day, however, I was entirely free, and my happiness knew no bounds. Though I was grateful for the physical freedom, I was far more grateful for this proof of God's infinite love for His creation.
