I am grateful for the healings, guidance, and spiritual growth that our Churches of Christ, Scientist, our Reading Rooms, and our periodicals have given to me throughout my life as a student of Christian Science. Class instruction and the work of practitioners have likewise benefited me greatly. Volumes could be written as to the abundance of good I have experienced in Christian Science. However, this testimony will be confined to two instances that have been particularly helpful to me.

While I was working at a factory one summer, the flesh on the heels of my feet cracked extensively and bled. Not only was it difficult to walk and stand on the hard floor of the factory, but it was even painful to allow my heels to touch the bed sheets. I decided to take a stand for complete and permanent healing through Christian Science; so I made a point of not letting a single negative thought enter my mind about this condition. In order to hold to the good alone, I constantly rejected the material evidence and kept my mind filled with all the truth I could remember having learned in Christian Science. I refused to limp or to favor my feet in any way.

During the afternoon of the second day I suddenly realized that I had not been aware of my heels that day. There was no longer any difficulty in standing or walking and no pain whatsoever. Within a day or so the mending of the flesh was complete, and there was no evidence of broken skin or of bleeding. Former instances of that condition had lasted two or three weeks.
