More than thirty years ago I was healed of nervous prostration. I had been treated by a number of doctors and had tried many material remedies, but, like the woman in the Scriptures, I was none the better, but rather grew worse. The doctors told me that nothing could be done and that I should expect the worst at any time.

About this time, my husband was working with a group of men. He mentioned my condition to them and said that we had tried everything we had heard of to cure me and that nothing had helped. One of the men asked if we had tried Christian Science. My husband replied that we had not.

The man then began to tell him of some wonderful healings which had come through this Science. He said his wife had been healed of a dread disease and had since become a Christian Science practitioner. When my husband came home, he asked me if I would like to try Science. I had accepted the verdict that my case was hopeless, but in gratitude to my husband for his devoted efforts to find a cure for me, I agreed to try it. I am so grateful that I did.
