ALWAYS HOME WITH OUR FATHER

Christ Jesus prayed (John 17:5), "O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was." The necessity of gaining a demonstrable understanding of these profound words is clearly implied by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in her statement from "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 189), "The meek Nazarene's steadfast and true knowledge of preexistence, of the nature and the inseparability of God and man.— made him mighty." Christian Science explains that the original and eternal unity of Principle and idea constitutes pre-existence or coexistence; it ensures man's always being at home with God.

We receive the blessings of this fundamental truth in proportion to our spiritual progress and conscious unity with our Father Mind. Divinely impelled spiritualization of thought enables us to regain the spiritual identity or glory which man possesses in the Father's house. Truth dissolves the illusive barrier of mortality, claiming to separate Father and child. Material sense clamors for our recognition and acceptance as real and as a part of our identity and experience. But man cannot be influenced by that which does not exist. Man cannot be mesmerized by illusion, nothingness. There is no outside to infinitude; hence no materiality, illusion. Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," in "the scientific statement of being" (p. 468), "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."

Our demonstration of this fact is in proportion to our ability to feel the presence of God, divine Love, to listen for and hear His voice, and to see reality with natural spiritual discernment.
