I have known the wonderful blessings of Christian Science since early childhood, and my gratitude is boundless. My parents took up the earnest study of this Science when my father was instantaneously healed, with the help of a consecrated practitioner, of serious complications resulting from mumps. These complications had kept him in bed for many weeks. At the same time, without any specific prayerful work being done, my mother was healed of fallen arches in a most extreme stage. My sister and I were enrolled in a Christian Science Sunday School, which we had the priceless privilege of attending until we were twenty years of age, and where we were firmly grounded on the Rock, Truth.

As a child I learned to turn instantly to Truth for help in my schoolwork, in getting along with other people, and in problems of health. Consequently, when I entered the business world after leaving school, it was natural to apply the Science which I had earlier demonstrated in meeting the larger problems which presented themselves. During the Second World War, I was beautifully sustained and guided while my husband served in the Navy. What a comfort it was to know that all of God's children are forever protected and safe in the arms of divine Love!

I have had numerous healings, some with the help of practitioners, and others through my own understanding and application of Christian Science. In addition to many instances of protection and guidance, I have been healed of serious infections, both chronic and acute, severe nervous collapse, organic displacement and attendant complications, semi-invalidism due to a heart condition, and other ailments. Faults of character have been put aside, human relationships have been harmonized, and much fear has been overcome. To me the most remarkable healing was one of grief at the passing of my father. This healing was accomplished with the fine help of a practitioner and was one in which the entire family shared.
