My interest in Christian Science...

My interest in Christian Science began when a neighbor invited me to attend a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Church of Christ, Scientist. After the meeting I noticed that the large foyer was filled with such happy, intelligent, and progressive people that I wished I might someday become one of them. Later I began to attend the church services regularly. That was many years ago, and I have attended ever since.

On page 206 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes, "In the scientific relation of God to man. we find that whatever blesses one blesses all, as Jesus showed with the loaves and the fishes, Spirit, not matter, being the source of supply." The words, "whatever blesses one blesses all," were so indelibly impressed in my mind when I read them that I felt as though the application of this truth would meet every need. At this time I had been wearing glasses since childhood, and doctors had said that my eyes and eyelids were incurably diseased.

One Wednesday evening I heard a testimony of healing in which the testifier said that the sight in one of her eyes had been lost and doctors had told her that it should be removed or the other eye would become affected. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner she regained the sight in the blinded eye and did not even need glasses. Instantly the words came to me, "whatever blesses one blesses all." I removed my glasses and have never had to wear them again. My eyelids are entirely well.
