A testimony from me is long...

A testimony from me is long overdue for all the benefits I have received from the study and application of Christian Science. I have learned that its truths are, as the Bible states (Ps. 119:105), "a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

At one time I was injured in an accident in my home. I felt that some ribs were broken, as I could scarcely breathe. The pain was so severe that I could hardly bear to have anyone touch me. With the assistance of my housekeeper I managed to get into bed, and we both began to know the truth that "we live, and move, and have our being" in God, as we read in the Bible (Acts 17:28). I kept declaring that God was my Life and that "underneath are the everlasting arms" (Deut. 33:27). A practitioner was asked to give me help, and in a short while I was able to breathe normally. In three days I was completely healed, and there was no further evidence or sensation of broken ribs.

On another occasion I severely injured my ankle, and the suggestion came that it was broken. Being alone in the house, I felt fearful, but I declared that God is at hand and that man cannot be separated from Him. I continued to declare these truths until I began to feel free. I then got up limping but praising God, and in a short time I was perfectly free.
