To submit a testimony for a Christian Science periodical is truly a great joy. As a girl I was constantly seeking the truth. I was brought up in an orthodox Protestant church but was never satisfied with its teachings, although those who instructed me were very sincere. This early religious interest helped to prepare the way for my acceptance of Christian Science when I went to college. I shall ever be extremely grateful to the one who introduced this Science to me.

Like others I too have had my trials, but each has proved to be a steppingstone to a better understanding of God and closer companionship with Him, for which I shall be always grateful. By my own prayerful work, in three days I was healed of eczema which covered my entire face. With the help of a practitioner I was also healed in three days of influenza, with no loss from my work of teaching school.

My father was healed of a broken vertebra, and my brother was protected in an automobile accident which completely demolished his car. He received only a slight chest injury, which was quickly healed. Although I was many miles away when the accident occurred, the thought had come to me to do prayerful protective work, which I did immediately. It is good to know that through our prayerful impersonal work in Christian Science we can protect our loved ones, as well as ourselves, and indeed can help the whole world.
