RADIO PROGRAM No. 30A - It's Never Too Late to Turn to God

On this program Miss H. Lynn Whitney of Philadelphia. Pennsylvania, told of her own experience, as follows:

When I was thirteen years old I was suddenly stricken with a condition that caused my sinking, within a matter of hours, into a coma. I was unconscious for three days and nights. My mother, who was new in her study of Christian Science, but very earnest, called an authorized Christian Science practitioner to pray for me.

My father, who was not at that time a student of Christian Science, became frightened by the scene and insisted that I be removed at once to a hospital in Minneapolis, the city where we were then living. The resident doctor, who was very kindly and co-operative, agreed to my mother's request that, because we were relying on prayer in Christian Science, no medicine or injections were to be given me. Only the simplest, necessary nursing attention was to be provided.
