I feel that the time has come to express by a written testimony my heartiest thanks for all the blessings bestowed upon me through the application of Christian Science. This ever-available religion was first introduced to me some years before World War II by a good friend of mine, but I was not then ready to rely wholly upon its ministrations, though contact with a Christian Scientist strengthened the confidence I felt in our Father-Mother God at the time of a major surgical operation.

Approximately five years ago I was suddenly attacked by a condition that was believed to be cancer, and an operation was performed. The incisions continued to drain for several weeks, and the surgeon suggested a second operation, which would involve removal of a portion of the intestine. In my great tribulation I turned to a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly assured me that no second operation would be needed when once I became aware of the fact that I was the image and likeness of God, perfect as the Father in heaven is perfect. Subsequently I took my stand for Truth and stopped visiting the surgeon. In a few days the wounds were perfectly closed and the entire condition was permanently healed. Through the kindly interest of the practitioner who helped me I have become an earnest student of Christian Science and a member of The Mother Church. My eyes and heart have been opened to the love of God.

My testimony would not be complete if I did not relate that I have also been freed from constipation, heartburn, and itching skin rashes of eight years' standing. I have also been released from the smoking habit, from social drinking, and from bad traits of character. In the face of threatening financial difficulties everything has turned out for the best. My reliance on God has always been rewarded.
