We read in Psalms (103:2, 3), "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases." For the benefits and healings I have received through Christian Science, I wish to express my gratitude.

One of my first healings in Christian Science occurred when I was young in the study of this religion. It was a quick healing of influenza and came about when I seemed to be passing on. A practitioner who lived seventy-five miles away was called by telephone, and half an hour after she began to help me I was almost well. In a few days I went about my duties as usual, completely healed. The recollection of that healing has encouraged me many times since when the way has seemed dark.

That Christian Science is a help to children is shown in the following experiences. A child in the school where I was teaching was extremely impertinent, and he seemed to enjoy saying hateful things. At first this merely annoyed me, but as the situation grew worse, I realized that something must be done to correct my thought about it. One evening, after a trying day, I turned to our textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and studied and worked to know that there is only one controlling force—Mind, God—and therefore God's children cannot be controlled by any power but God. The following morning at school the boy started to say something impertinent, but my mental declaration that error cannot stand in the presence of Truth stopped him right in the middle of the sentence. Never again was he disrespectful to me, and by the end of the term there was a great improvement in his attitude toward his schoolwork.
