How grateful we can be that...

How grateful we can be that through the Christian Science periodicals we are provided with the opportunity of praising God and expressing our gratitude! Seven years ago I was healed of severe hemorrhages of the uterus, lasting over a period of seven weeks. Many days I was but semiconscious and could hold only to such truths as, "God is my life and my strength; the are not in blood and muscles." With the help of a practitioner I was completely healed, and I have never known such happiness as I have had since this experience.

My husband was healed several years later of a Compound fracture of the leg. Since the accident happened at his work, the rules of the shop required that he have the help of a surgeon. But after six months, during which time he had worn one cast after another and had had numerous X rays, the doctor told him he was no better than when they started with him.

During this time he had studied Christian Science constantly, but he was fearful because the doctors had suggested that the bones would not knit. At this point he turned unreservedly to Christian Science for help and called a Christian Science practitioner. Before he retired that evening the leg had straightened perceptibly. Two days later he visited the practitioner on two crutches. She told him he did not need the crutches and voiced the truth until he walked back and forth across the room without the aid of the crutches. My husband was overjoyed by this healing, for the doctors had shown him the X rays and had warned him not to put any weight on that leg, saying it would not hold him up. This healing was permanent and brought also a complete change of thought and disposition. All those months of study and help had wrought wonders.
