Many times I have been encouraged by testimonies published in our periodicals as well as by those given at the Wednesday testimony meetings.

Through the study of our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I learned that such mortal beliefs as fear, resentment, and grief are often the cause of bodily difficulties; and when I saw that in reality they do not exist as either cause or effect, because God, good, is All, I was healed of eczema.

In 1931, I was healed of a growth on my face. At the time I was traveling in the Far East. Before I had left my own country, I had had Christian Science treatment for this condition, but there was no evidence of improvement; in fact, it appeared to be getting worse, and I was very much discouraged. Finally my husband told me that he felt I had given Christian Science a fair chance and that it had not healed me; so he wanted me to have an operation when we reached Vienna. To this I made no reply, nor did I mentally consent to an operation; but instead I turned unreservedly to God with the conviction that He could and would take care of me. Shortly after we arrived in Calcutta, we made a social call upon a lady who was a Christian Science practitioner. Later she mailed me a copy of a newspaper containing the text of a Christian Science lecture.
