In the Preface to the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes (p. vii), "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." I am a witness to the truth of these words.

I had been suffering for years from heart trouble and had consulted various doctors in vain. The last one on the case stated there was an organic difficulty, and he strongly advised an operation. I was in despair when I heard this diagnosis, and it was in this state that Christian Science found me.

A Christian Science practitioner lovingly explained this wonderful teaching to me, and I experienced an instantaneous healing. I was as one newborn, and it became my greatest desire to study this religion.
