Of Good Report

Consecrated Christian Scientists are still serving our armed forces at fields and camps and also in the many hospitals for veterans.

During a visit at one hospital a Worker found a boy groping through a hall, crying aloud for help. An attendant led him back to his ward, stating that something would be done for him. When the Worker returned to the ward that same day, the boy was holding a bandage over his eyes and still asking for help. He explained that when he entered the hospital he could see a gleam of light, but that even that had vanished. He was quite receptive to the Worker's assurance, "God is your light," and accepted the truth that His presence and power were present to help and heal. In a short time he said all pain had gone.

Three days later the Worker looked for this boy and learned that he was moving freely around the hospital and grounds and that he could see. On her next visit the Worker located the boy and learned that the doctors could find no reason for performing the operation on his eyes that had been scheduled to take place. The following week the boy was discharged, and he later wrote the Worker a letter filled with joy and gratitude, giving all credit to God for the healing.
