Love proves no separation. Peace from reading textbook

Faced with a problem of separation about seven years ago, I was led to seek the help of a friend who I knew was interested in Christian Science. Upon my request—to use my exact words, "Give me something"—I was presented with an old copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.

As I pondered the chapter on Prayer, a great sense of peace came over me, fulfilling the Scripture (Job 22:21), "Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace." I can joyously acknowledge that my problem dissolved into its native nothingness. From that day my life took on a more useful and constructive significance. Within the first week of study I was free from the smoking and social drinking habits. I realized later on that these were instantaneous healings which came just by my reading the textbook, without any specific work being done. Later on I was healed of neuritis in my left shoulder. This difficulty had been under medical treatment for about two years before my coming into Christian Science.

My brother, who is a physician, has seen the remarkable change in my physical and mental make-up. He has urged me to continue in Christian Science, saying it certainly has done wonders for me.
