When I was but five years old, the questions which called for an answer were: "What is God? Where is God, and what is He doing for us?" I never got satisfactory answers. Later I pondered spiritism, theosophy, and so forth, but again and again I thought, "I must reject these theories." Then Christian Science attracted my attention. At first it seemed very strange to me, and the first remark I heard about this Science was not kind; but when I had seen a healing in Science of a small boy who had a concussion of the brain, I asked for help for a difficulty with my feet. This was thirty-four years ago, and I was healed within a fortnight.

The friend who had helped me told me more about this religion. The great attraction of Christian Science for me was its logic, which was a revelation to me. I began an earnest study of this Science and experienced many blessings. By trying to understand more of Love I was healed of angina—attended with high fever—malaria, constipation, an inflamed root of a tooth, bronchitis, a fractured bone, and many other difficulties with the help of a faithful practitioner.

Many years ago my son was sent home from school with a deep gash on his knee, which had been bandaged by the teacher. Through the application of what we understood of Christian Science the wound was healed after a few hours. With the help of a faithful practitioner, the same boy was healed of blood poisoning.
