"WHAT SHALL I DO NOW?"

[Of Special Interest to Children]

"What shall I do now?" Have you ever felt there was little or nothing to do and gone to your mother seeking her aid with those words?

Well, if you have, then you are not unlike a boy I know whose name is Ted. And maybe, as Ted did, you like to do lots of interesting things, but sometimes the words, "What shall I do now?" come bounching through your lips, and you wonder why you are unhappy. Perhaps Ted's experience will be helpful to you, so I will tell you about it.

It was a day in the springtime. Error had made Ted believe he had been ill, and he had been in bed. Each day he and his mother had declared the truth as they had been taught in Christian Science. Ted learned the definition of God on page 587 of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, by reading it several times each day. He not only learned the words but also declared himself to be in reality the reflection of God. He said to his mother, "Because God is all-acting I must reflect His true action." Then his mother explained to him that the all-knowing Mind had made him to be the image of Life, God, and therefore he could not help expressing health, happiness, and abundant life.
