TRUE BREAD

What the world calls the very "staff of life," the human concept of bread, has been inadequate to meet the crying demands of mankind. Nation after nation through the centuries has hungered. This very day thousands upon thousands are starving.

Why is it that mankind has found this material bread insufficient and unsatisfying? The answer is in the words of Christ Jesus (Matt. 4:4), "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Jesus understood that the power that satisfies and feeds the hungry is the understanding of Christ, the true idea of God. Truth is the bread that Jesus referred to when he said to his disciples (John 6:32, 33):"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which Cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world."
