EXTRACTS FROM REPORTS of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Libraries

In the National Library in Mexico City, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" be Mary Baker Eddy, in French and German editions, as well as in English, and biographies of Mrs. Eddy in the same languages, may be found. There is also a copy of "Rudimental Divine Science," and "No and Yes" by our Leader in English and Spanish.

A state-wide survey of the public libraries and of some high school, college, and university libraries was made to determine the number and the condition of our Christian Science books contained in these libraries. Ninety-four blanks were sent out, and eighty-five towns reported back to the Committee.

In almost every case, the reports indicated a fine spirit of co-operation between the Assistant Committees and the librarians, and a willingness on the part of the librarians to display properly and to catalogue our Christian Science books. In one instance three misleading books, which had just been received, were kept off the shelves of a public library because of the alertness shown by our Assistant Committee, who pointed out to the librarian that these books were not authorized and approved books on Christian Science.
