My heart overflows with gratitude...

My heart overflows with gratitude for divine Love. No matter what the changing times may bring, God's love never changes and this truth brings harmony.

I should like to tell of some instances when it was proved in the midst of the housing shortage that God can "furnish a table in the wilderness," even when the wilderness seems pretty hopeless. We—my husband, baby, and I— moved eight times in six months, each time into a congested area, and through the application of Christian Science we were always comfortably housed. We arrived in a strange town one night and read every "no vacancy" sign in town. We were considering sleeping in the car when I went into the lobby of a hotel and found some Christian Science literature in a distribution rack. I found the name of a practitioner, and upon calling her to ask if she knew of a room, she told us we could sleep in her basement room. She owned some apartment houses and later helped us to become more permanently situated. In the meantime we lived comfortably in her home. We knew that God had led us to her.

In another city we asked for a hotel room late one evening only to be told that there was not a room in town. While we were standing there the telephone rang, and a reservation was canceled. The clerk said, "I guess that is your room."
