Christian Science came to my attention nine years ago, at a time when I had what the doctors call a chronic ailment. I was also troubled with all sorts of financial problems. I had never heard of Science until a woman from another country came to stay with us. Seeing the numerous discords which apparently held sway in our home, she told me of Christian Science. I went with her to the Wednesday evening testimony meetings and later to the Sunday services, and had the joy of finding that Science was what I had long been seeking.

A little later I had a severe attack of the illness from which I suffered. I asked a practitioner for help and the difficulty disappeared. This proved to me that Christian Science heals and liberates. I then studied it earnestly, and when anything did not seem clear to me I went to the practitioner, who lovingly explained it to me and guided my faltering steps. Material remedies were eliminated, and whenever a difficulty put in an appearance it was overcome either with the help of a practitioner or through my own understanding of Science.

On two occasions a financial problem which had seemed impossible of solution because of the depression was solved in a wonderfully harmonious way. Thanks to Science, I had no fear during the time I had to wait, since I knew that "with God all things are possible." To our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, goes my deep gratitude for the untiring work which she did, so that the world might have this Science which Christ Jesus taught and of which he said' (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." I am happy to know that, as our Leader" says (Science and Health. Pref.. p x), "The divine Principle of healing is proved in the personal experience of any sincere seeker of Truth."
