Words alone can never express...

Words alone can never express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, and to Mary Baker Eddy for her consecrated work in not only discovering but founding this blessed religion.

I did not turn to Christian Science for healing, but for a religion. For two years I had been examining religion after religion, looking for one which was consistent, and which explained God in a clear and wholesome manner. Not until I found Christian Science did I receive the answer to my prayers. I have found it wholly satisfying and consistent from every standpoint.

Shortly after beginning the wholehearted study of Christian Science, I was faced with the problem of choosing a college and curriculum. Help was lovingly given by a consecrated practitioner, and I was led to enter a certain college and to choose subjects the purpose of which I could not see at the time. Indeed, it was not until two months after I graduated that I had any inkling of the vocation for which I was being prepared at college. Then I discovered that every subject that I had been led to take was required in my new vocation, and that not one subject was missing. My years at college were among the happiest that I have known, and I attribute this in large part to the privilege of serving in a Christian Science Organization there. The experience and joy obtained from this service were invaluable. Indeed, I consider it one of the most important parts of my college career.
